PRIVILEGE RAILWAY TICKETS.
FINAL DATE OF AVAILABILITY. It is understood that for various reasons a considerable number of returned soldiers have not yet made use of the orders for privilege railway tickets, enabling them to travel free for 28 days over the railways of the Dominion. However anxious the Defence Department and the railway authorities may be to maintain the privileges granted to soldiers, it must, lie apparent that there shall be some finality in connection with the issue ot free railway passes, and therefore it has been decided that all orders must lie exchanged for railway tickets not later than the 2nd November next. In effect, this means that no privilege railway ticket issued to a soldier will be available after 3Utk November, when the 28 days will expire. Owing to the very heavy demands that will be made upon the time of the railway staffs ill all parts of the Dominion from November onwards, soldiers eu titled to claim privilege tickets are requested to make application for them as early as posible.
