* J At the annual meeting of the Mana- i watu Racing Club llic president (Mr ' IT. H. P. Strang) stated that an electric ' totalisator had been shipped from Svu- , ney, but owing to the scarcity of cement, the club had been unable to erect (he necessary buildings, and at; present it appeared as if they would j be compelled to continue to use the old j totalisator machine for next Christmas meeting. The new electric totalisator recently erected in Wellington had given - great satisfaction. Two new machines, one in Wanganui and-one in Feildiug, were being erected, to be used at their next meetings.
