OTAKI BULB SOCIETY.

I NEXT MONTH'S SHOW. ' A well-attended meeting of the com- , mittee of the above was held on Monday night last at the Reading-room. Present: Mr 11. Witchell (vice-presi-dent, in the chair"). Mesdames Hodg- ' son, Kilmister, Fox, Miss Baker. Messrs '■ Wilson. Small. Summers, Broadway, Penn. S. Norgrove, and Bcv. I'eirie. The trophies awarded for the forthcoming Bulb show, to lie held on September Sth. were displayed. They com- ,' prised the Citizen,-' Cup and very hand- j I some trophies presented by Messrs J. Brandon. 11. Small. If. Witchell, and S. ' Norgrove. The trophic* were much ■ admired by those present, ami should certainly help to increase interest in the Bulb Show.-. The president stated that it had been decided to expend five guineas in a Citizens' Trophy, but the trophy secured had cost considerably more than that sum. Heartv vote, of thanks were accorded the generous donors of the trophies. The following class .-toward.- were appointed tor the forthcoming show:— Open cla.-s. Messrs H. Witchell and A. W. Broadway; amateur class. Mrs Kilmister. Rev. I'etrie, Messrs Wilson and Summers: miscellaneous cut blooms | and decorations. Misses Bradey and X. ' Kilsby and Mr Penn. | Mrs Hodgson was appointed to take j charge of the refreshment rooms for i the show. Various other matters relating to the j .-how were discussed, and matters of detail attended to.
