We regret to hear that Mr T. B. P..-.:■. I our local townsman, i.- laid aside with a serious illness. Constable Bagrie, of Levin, left ye terday for Palmcrston North to undergo medical treatment for the next two or three weeks. Mr O'Rourke, Clerk of the Court at Otaki, is at present on a fortnight V-well-deserved furlough. lie left y.-s terday en route, for Napier. During bis absence Constable Sathcrley will fill Mr O'Kourke's position. The funeral of the infant dnugliKv of Mr and Mr- Hadfield K'i ks tool; place yesterday afternoon, when tincortege was a representative one. The Otaki Bras- Band headed the pro.- -s .-ion. while the Rev. Tcuiucra Toko aiatua conducted the service at the graveside.
