SPORTING.
Mr lan Duncan has disposed of the well-known sir Bezonian to .Sir George Clifford. ■ The imported horse will be shipped south next week, and will take up stud duty at the Stonyhurst Stud uext season. When Cetigne knocked off racing several months ago it was Mr T. Stirton’s intention to give him a lengthy spell, and then to have him trained again with the view to further triumphs on the racecourse. After a spell away from home Cetigne has re turned to his old quarters, says a Sydney writer, with a view to being put into work again bv-and bye. This i~ not to say that this fine performer will do any more racing. Unit--- he progresses in a way that justifies the belief that lie has returned to his old form Cetigne will not be asked for further efforts on the racecourse, but if he docs “come back” then racegoers may expect to see him again under silk. Cetigne has won upwards ef £26.300 in stake money, and Mr Stirton is naturally desirous that his champion should attack Carbine’s record of £29.476. One more season at his best would give Cetigne the opportunity to make the attack, and racegoers would be delighted if it proved successful.
