The flag competition, tho first held by-the club, was easily won by Tonihi, going round in the excellent score of 73. Ho played two more holes before exhausting his alloted stroke*. W. St. George was a good second; the round cost hint 87 strokes, and he nearly reached the first green again with the three he had in hand. Next .Saturday the Levin Club proposes sending a team of six ladies and twelve men to Otaki. The following will represent the local club:—Ladies, Mrs .M. Sintcox. Mi*-* O’Rourke, Mr; K. M. D’Ath, Miss Quill, Mrs Hodgson and Mis* Bennett; men, Himeox J 3), D’Aib .72), Heddileh (captain), Podevin, SV. H. George, soever;, O-’Kourke, At more, Bennett and Wills. Any of these unable to play should please inform the secretary at once. Lunch will be* ready at the pavilion at 12 o’clock, and the match will start immediately afterwards. 1 The July ladies’ medal round was won by 51 iss O’Rourke, her card reading 83—10—73. Podevin again won the men’s bogey competition, being one down to the colonel.
