APPRECIATION OP FAITHFUL SERVICES. r 0 ' The matron (Miss McLagan) of the t Palmerston North Hospital, who has r been on the stall of the institution for „ a period of twenty-two years, and has ~ been matron since 190 S, was on Wed--0 nesday paid a handsome compliment u when her framed portrait was un- ,, veiled on the walls of the extended t corridor connecting the two new ward*. ~ The unveiling ceremony was performed by the chairman of the Hospital Board 1 (Sir James Wilson). Sir James ref ferred to the splendid services given . by Matron' McLagan during her a twenty-two years' service on tks hos- ,. pital-stall. He trusted that the original L , would long remain at the hospital to t carry on tho line work she had already u accomplished.
