Mr. Clement Mason, well known in .the picture world, and Mr Jones, both of Sydney, were aisotg tho weekenders to Otaki. Tho death occurred on Saturday ef Mr John'Whalley, a very old and highly-respected resident of Palmerston North, aged S 4 years. At the Eoman Catholic Church. Otaki, on Saturday morning, Mr Ernest Francis Clark, of Otaki, was married to Miss Florence Hagan, of Nelson. Mr and Mrs Win. Bevau, and Mr and Mrs Harry Rolston, of Ohau, have gone through to Stratford, by motor, to attend a big stoek sale there. They will be absent for a few days. A few days ago, at Ohariu, Mr Arthur Horrobin, of Levin, was married to Miss Ella Bryant, daughter of the lato Mr T. Pascoe Bryant, of Ohariu. The bridegroom is very well known throughout this district. The wedding took place at Levin of Miss Violet M. Harris, daughter of the Eev. Bawden Harris, of Levin, and Mr Kingston Hewitt, stage manager for Allan Wilkie Co. Mr and Mrs Hewitt will shortly leave for Melbourne. Sister Donovan, who has been ou the Otaki Hospital staff for some time, during which aho has riroved most efficient, has severed her connection with the institution, and leaves to-morrow for Hastings where she will spend two or three weeks' holiday. After this Sister Donovan will take up nursing in Wellington.
