Wellington City ... 8-1.0!!* 12,000 Hull Valley 20,70 ti 2,100 Otaki sub-station .. 8,1251 900 Shannon sub-st nliou 18,72."; 2,000 Bunnythorpe s-station 27,080 2,800 Dannevirke s-station 10,n9l 1,100 Eketahuna 8.21-17 900 Masterton 21.028 2,200 198,807 2-1,000 The engineers, added Mr Coates, had no doubt at all that when the Mangahao scheme was completed they would be able to supply all tho power that was needed immediately, and carry on until the Wttikaremoana scheme came into operation. It had not been intended to leave out any part of tho Wairarapa district, but lu* had not been able to give the* complete ligures to Hie iirst deputation. .Mr Coates added that members of Parliament aud others interested in ilu* scheme had visited Mangahao lately, and he had been glad to learn that they believed the work was being carried on satisfactorily. Anything that the. Public Works Department could do to hasten hydroelectric development would be done.
