A very pretty aml interesting wc ding amis celebrated at St. Mary Church, Otaki, on Wednesday last, tl contracting parties being Mr Norma Chamberlain, youngest son of Mi Chamberlain, of Wanganui, and Mis Bryda O’Rourke, daughter ol Mr am Mrs T. O ’Kourke, “Kaemorc, ” Otaki The, bride, who was given away by he father, was daintily attired in a simph georgette frock, over satin. She als< wore a long tulle veil, caught with : wreath of pink and blue rosebuds, am carried a lovely bouquet of wliitt flowers and maidenhair. She was at tended by three bridesmaids. Miss Eileen O’Kourke- (sister of the bride) wore blue georgette over satin, and blue velour hat with touches oi lemon, (Miss Isabel Chamberlain (sister of the bridegroom) wore a deep cream crept-de-eheue frock, with a large cream picture liat. Miss -loan Peerless, ol Nelson, wore powder blue c.repe-de-che tic with a pretty picture hat. sill the bridesmaids carried bouquets oi golden (lowers and maidenhair fern. The. best man was Mr iv. V. Gtdding l;am, of Palmerston North, and the groomsmen were Mr Courtlier O’Kourke trad Mr Oswald Chamberlain. The ceremony was performed by the Kev. i’ather Vibaud, and was wit nested by a very large number oi friends, the church being crowded. The bride has resided prut-tically all her life in Utaki.. while Air Chamber lain lived here for a consideralde tinu prior to enlisting for active service. Both have hosts of .friends throughout (he district, who will wish them all possible happiness and prosperity >’• i ■(.heir wedded life. i GRANT—BOW. _ 1 Lite wedding was solemnised at St. John’s Church, Wellington, on Wednesday. of Miss Jelslc Row, only duughter of Mr W. J. Row and the late Airs Row, of Utaki, and Air Donald (Irani, second son of Ah ami Mrs Joseph Grant, also well known in this district. The Rev. Mackenzie performed the ceremony, and Airs Whitman presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming frock of white satin and overdress id Muon drain'd with real lace and pearls, (lie court train being caught on the shoulders with wee horse-shoes and 1 finished with orange blossoms and true lovers’ knots. She aho wore a hand some embroidered veil and orange blossoms, and carried a pretty 1 bouquet of choice white and heliotrope flowers. Miss Lena Grant, sister of thi 1 bridegroom, was the bridesmaid. She 1 wore a dainty f rock of saxo blue crepe- | de-chene. with silver trimming. Her hat j. was black panne velvet with sdver lace it and amber trimming. The l.widesmaio | carried a sweet posey of violets and j autumn leaves. Air Colin Grant, y brother of 1 lie bridegroom, carried out | the duties of best man. J After the ceremony the wedding | party was entertained at the residence | of the bridegroom’s sister, Lv'all Lay. | where Hie usual toasts were, duly g honoured. ~ f Air and Airs Grant afterwards left f for the Wairarnpa, the bride wearing a j .-mart navy blue coat frock, hat to match and furs, on their honeymoon. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a lovely pearl and aquamarine pendant. |
