8 Yesterday Messrs Abraham and ui!- | liams offered at Levin, on' account ot | Mr F. S Easton, the Te Kanawa Station, close to Levin, consisting of 2001 acres, of both grazing lands and properties suTiable for dairying. There was a very large attendance, but it soon became apparent that the majority were attracted more by curiosity 1 than with any idea of purchasing. The i smaller sections, suitable for dairying. » sold fairly well, but. the pastoral lands | failed to elicit any competition, and I the homestead of 1373 acres, with a I leasehold of 82 acres thrown in. was I passed in at £l2 10s per acre. Out of [ the eleven sections offered only live were sold at prices ranging from £<•!> to £BB per acre for heavy land suitable for dairying.
