They were listened to with sympathetic attention, and before they left the aeting-ehairmaii (Mr T. Hunt) anSiJouneed that the Council would grant the sum of £IOO as a donation to the Home. On Wednesday. i!nd -Tune, a meeting of ladies was held at Rongotea to discuss the best way in which the women could assist to raise funds for the Willard Home for Children. Mrs Crabb. accompanied by Mrs A. A. Martin, of Palmerston North, explained the airai f of the Board of Management in organI ising the home, and stated that they I hoped thnt representative women of I each district which supported the iuj stitution would have a sest on tho J finance committee, and that a member [ of each of the public bodies contribut- { ins to the funds would be elected to ' the advisory board, so that the whole of the Hospital Board district would be kept in touch with the management , of the Home.
