many mild cases locally. There are a considerable number of cases of influenza in this district, and the number appears to be increasing. In Paraparauinu and district the epidemic appears to be most severe, fortunately the malady is of a much milder type than the old serious epidemic, and the majority of the cnees are very light. On being questioned by a “Mail" reporter, Dr. Sharpe stated that not a single case of pneumonic type of influenza had come under hm notioo. At the same time, il behoves those suffering with the complaint to take every case of themselves.
