A Mr R. ML Gold-man, at one time relieving clerk of tne Court at Otaki, ha. b*eu appointed deputy-registrar at the Supreme Court, Auckland. The- death has occurred at Newcastle of Mr Dugald Thomson, for some time a well-known resident of Manakau. Deceased was also we!! known in racing circles, as owner oi .-.cveral useful horses..

HU dreth, of Walton, who will make a short stay at Otaki. Mr “Dug.” Howell, son of Mr and Mrs W. J. Howell, and Miss Greaves were married at Paraparaumu on Wednesday last. The young couple are well known and popular residents of Paraparaumu. and the ceremony was witnessed by a great number of friend-.
