HOKOWHENUA- ; ASSOCIATION. j A meeting of delegates to the Horowhenua iloekey Association was held at Levin on Friday last (says the “Chronicle”). Present: Messrs AV. .Broughton (Excelsior), AVhitchouse . and AVells (K.S.A.), Billons and Dean ! (Y.M.C.A.). If. llook (Shannon), and Kerslake (convener). It was reported that the following i senior teams had been entered: Fox- j ■on, 'Te Jloro, Otaki A and B, Excel- ! -ior, R.S.A., Y.M.C.A., audjjhanuon. | Mr Broughton was voted to the <-!iuir. and in opening the meeting said there had been no Association | ■ luring the war, but the prospect of a j
luekey revival was very bright. On Mr Dean’s motion it was decided u constitute the Ilorowhcnuu Hockey | Association, and the following officers w ere elected: —Patron, Mr AV. 11. Field, M.P.; president, Mr AV. Eroughluu; vice-presidents, each club to nominate one; executive, Messrs AVells (R.S.A.), liillens (Y.M.C.A.), Broughton (Ex- ■ ■elsiur). Hook (shannon), Otaki, Te Uoro and Foxton tu nominate ono member each; secretary and treasurer, Mr Kerslake; auditor, Mr T. Brown. It was decided that the affiliation ! fee be £1 Is per club. , Ou the motion cf Messrs AVells and | Hook, it was decided that each club I be responsible for the provision of j proper nets and marking out the ground i in its centre. It was decided that Ihe championhip fixtures be commenced on May lit, and that two rounds be played.
