CLUB AMALGAMATION.

PROPOSED MERGING OF OTAEI BOWLING, TENNIS AND SOCIAL CLHBS.

An informal meeting of representatives of the Otaki Bowling Club, Social Club and Lawn Tennis Club was held on Friday night last, with the object, of discussing the-possibility or advisability of amalgamating the above- ' mentioned clubs. The meeting was convened by Mr J. P. Brandon, who stated the reasons that prompted his action. The matter was discussed-fully by all present, the trend of discussion being generally in favour of the scheme, if the details could be satisfactorily arrange.,!. Mr T. O'Kourke submitted the groundwork of a progressive scheme, together with rough proposals for a system of differentia- j tiou in membership.
