PARAPARAUMU.
FAREWELL TO REV. IX DANIEL. There was a good and representative gathering at the Parapnrauimi Methodist Church last, night, for the purpose of bidding good-bye to the Rev. H. Daniel, who is about, to leave Paraparaurnu for ..Milton, after being in charge of the Paraparuumu end of the Otaki circuit for some mouths. The chair was occupied by Rev. W. G. Blade. M.A.
During the evening Mr H. Clarke, on behalf of the Methodists of the district, voiced the appreciation they all felt Of the splendid services rendered by the Rev. 11. Daniel during the short -time thai he had acted as relieving minister. Mr Daniel had given the church attendants, high inspiration, and 'Siad proved a splendid minister, both in jfcind out of Ihe pulpit. Mr C'mrkc then {presented Mr Daniel wilh a gold■mounted Waterman fountain pen, as -a 'slight memento of hi -lay in the district, and wished Mr and Mrs Daniel nil success ;>nd happiness, in their new circuit. Mr Daniel suitably responded. • The chairman catended a hourly welcome to Mr O. lb Eanvaker (Hev. Daniel's since-.-..i\ who was present. 31'r Earwakor .end.- a capital speech in' reply, and CTe.ited a in..si favourable impression. Mr Kanvuker e.iUes up his Vlnt'uv in charge of Ihe southern end of the cirejiit in about three .-. .•!.,-■' time. Hale; song. Mi.-s Watson: song. Mrs Morgan: song. Kev. 11. Daniel: song. Mr- Hale. Supper was served, and brought a Successful gathering to y close.
