' A meeting of the executive of the Manakaa Peace Memorial was held, a tew evening* ago, when the contractor for the work (Mr Pb*her. of Palmerston North) was present. After considerable discussion, it was resolved to enlarge the proposed cenotaph, to make •it more massive and impressive. A public meeting is to be held to-night to,discuss -he advisability of altering the Kite for the messoriaL The cricket match, ' Manakaa V.SLC.A. v. Training Farm, took place at the Farm on Wedaesday, ■when the vi.-.itor.-: secured a win. The Fana boys made 24 in their first inning*, and 13 ia their second essay, while Maaa* kart knocked up 3*5 in their first innings, and thus won on the first is* ning*.
