Two rinks of bowlers from Otaki journeyed to Karori on Saturday to meet representatives of the local club, and a most enjoyable day was spent. The visitors proved “hot stuff.” and in some games won “all the way.” Williams, Webster, Kilmister, OUiver won their games .13—5, while the same rink, skipped by Kilmister, won 20-3. In their third game Webster skipped and won by 15—5—all decisive wins. Good luck to the new skips! Gooding. Windlcy, Bills and Noble received a severe drubbing, scoring lour to their opponents’ 27. The same rink, skipped by Bills, also went under, but the same players, under Windley, registered a win. On the aggregate Otaki won by six points. Unfortuntely the score cards are unavailable. The visitors speak highly of the treatment meted out by the Karori players, who went to no end of tronblo in catering for their enjoyment. , , Otaki has evidently struck a bau day (Easter Monday) for its tournament. ns similar functions are to be held in all the chief centres, and which have been the means of drawing competitors. leaving Otaki but a few to call upon. However, several nnks hate signified their intention of playing at Otaki, and an enjoyable time is assured visitors who may attend.
