METHODIST CONFERENCE.
Auckland, March 7. The Methodist Conference resolved .that the next conference should be held at Wellington. ■ It was' agreed to amalgamate fhr Ota go aud Southland district into one district, to bo known as the Otago an!" Southland district. Celebrations in connection with the approaching centenary of the introduction of Methodism and the estal'Sshmerit of the lirst Methodist mission in New Zealand were considered. Tt was decided that 1922 conference be the j Centenary Conference. The centenary celebrations committee's report, which was approved, contained proposals for suitable religious services and public gatherings throughout the whole Dominion. It was also agreed that on the Sunday nearest Sth June, the date I of the iirst Methodist service in New I Zealand, thanksgiving services be held j in the churches and special gatherings during the week following. The Centenary Thanskiving Fund of £40,000 is jto be allocated as follows:—Superannuation Fund. £8500; Theological College, £S000; Church Building and Loan Fund, £8000; Foreign Missions, £5000; ."Wesley Training College, £3000; deaconess work, £3000; local preachers' ■work. £1000; Memorial Church at Kaeo, £1500; working expenses, £1500; and unallocated, £SOO. j
