A MISSING LAD FOUNDS
A Frankton boy, Joe Crabb, aged 12, who has been missing rrom his home for over a week, was discovered working for an Auckland business firm on Friday. According to his parents the boy is overgrown, and looks older than his years. Ho ha;; never shown any great signs of perverseness, and the reason for his disappearance is to them unaccountable. He was always passionately fond of reading, and this
might to some extent have influenced him to seek adventure. On the morning of his disappearance he tct oft to Auckland on a cycle, reaching the city the same day. after encountering a few mishaps in the way of punctures. He was possessed of a few shillings, and stayed the night in'an Auckland boiirdinghonse, front where his cycle was stolen whilst he slept. He wandered about the streets for three days, and eventually secured a position with a business Jinn, where his employer identified him through an advertisement as the missing boy, and his brief business career was thus brought to an end. His parents have, decided to allow him to remain in Auckland with an aunt, under whose care he will complete hi* schooling.
