WEDDING BELLS.
The wedding was solemnised at the Oatholie Church, Ashhurst, on the 17th inst., by the Rev. Father MeManus, of Palmerston North, of Mr Thomas 0 'Eourke, eldest son of Mr and Mrs T. O'Eourke, of "Eneraore," Otaki, to Miss Kathleen McDonald, younger daughter of Mrs S. McDonald, of ."Eaurnai," Palmerston North. The church was beautifully decorated for the occasion by girl friends of the bride. The bride, wto was given away by her brother, Mr Richard McDonald, was attired in a beautiful dress of cream georgette, daintily draped over soft satin, with an underskirt of pale pink satin. The overdress was caught in at the bottom by a handsome handworked hem, the whole being finished off by a wide swathed sash of the palest pink' satin, fastened with a large bow at .the back. She wore a long tulle veil, caught with a wreath of tiny pink and silver rosebuds. She carried a lovely bouquet of white flowers, and . woro the gift of tho bridegroom a diamond and pearl cluster ring.. She i was attended by throe bridesmaids and , a small flower girl. Miss McDonald, sister of the bride, wore pale pink georgette over satin, with a wide swathed sash of pale blue satin and a large picture hat of blue. She carried a bouquet of pink flowers tied with blue streamers, and woro the gift of the bridegroom —a coral necklace. Miss O'Eourke, sister of the bridegroom. | wore blue georgette over satin, with 3 touches of pink and a large blue picture hat. She carried a pink and bine bouquet, and wore her gift—a pearl pendant. Miss Benr.ie, of Wellington, . woro maize georgette with trimmings of blue, and large blue picture hat. She carried a bouquet of maize and bluc : flowers, and wore her gift from the bridegroom —a pearl aquamarine cluster ling. The little flower girl, Shcelia McDonald, made a dainty figure in a white dress with a big blue sash and a while picture hat. Sho carried a basket of flowers. Her gift from the bridegroom was a gold bracelet. The best man was Mr P. O'Neill, of Wanganui, and the groomsmen Mr Jack McDonald and Mr Courtney O'Eourke. After the ceremony tho guests were received by Mrs McDonald p.t her home. The wedding breakfast was served in Hie large billiard room, which was decorated for tho occasion with strands of iyeopodium and pink, blue
and mauve flower?. The tabic was arranged in tho same colours, highly veiled in tulle to tone. The usual toasts were proposed. Later in the afternoon (he bride and bridegroom left by car for tho honeymoon, the bride wearing a navy blue gabardine costume with a small fawn velour hat. Wo joiu with Mr and Mrs O'Foiuke's many friends in wishing them every happiness.
