f. PATRIOTIC SOCIETY. The above Society has now ceased operations, and the books have been closed and till money paid out to the respective funds. Since March, 1917, ;«ie splendid total of £5Ol U>± Id has boon collected, and, on disbanding, the committee desires to express its sincere thanks to all those, who have so generously assisted the committee with donation's of cash and goods throughout the period. • The Whurcroa Rifle Club's team is journeying to Levin on Saturday to shoot against, the local club. A practice shoot will be held on the Whnrcrou range for the other club members. The beneficial rains have caused the supply of milk to lhe Paraparaumu Cheese Factory to be maintained at a much higher level than previous years. The present season's supply has so far easily proved a record, for the district, there being now 31 suppliers.
