POOD 131 PER CENT DEARER IN ENGLAND. Prices are still soaring in England. According lo the “Labour Gazette’’ the average increase in retail }>riccs of the principal articles of food at November Ist was .131 per cent, as compared with July. 1911, the, corresponding figure for October Ist being 192 per cent, on the basis of the prewar standard oi‘ consumption.
Taking into account Louse rent, clothing, fuel and light, etc., in addition to food, the average increase, at November i was about 120 per c„cnt, as compared with 120 per cent a month earlier.
