A number of club competition matches were got oil on the local court on Saturday, considerable interest beiufi manifested in the play. Results were as under: — Ladies’ Singles: .Miss B. Brandon (10) Heat Miss Biiucox (5). do —30. Ladies’ Doubles: Misses B. O’Rourke and Brandon <5) beat Misses O’Rourke and D’Ath (scr), 60—4(5. This was the final, and the winners well deserved their win. Both played steadily and well, and, on their Saturday’s play, would take a lot of boating. They received many congratulations on their win. Combined Doubles: St. George and Miss O’Rourke (owe 4) beat C. O’Rourke and Miss D’Ath (scr), (50—4(5. Afi-n’s Singles: Sicvers (owe 5) beat H. Tahiwi (10), 60—50, after a capital game, in which both showed good form. Bennett (12) defeated P. Tahiwi (owe 10), 60—3 S. Bennett played well, while Tahiwi had a “day off.” Sicvers beat Biss by default. Men'-- :» übles: Atmore auil St. George (owe 1 * beat R. Sum ox and Font: (id), 70—02, after a well-con-tested game. The “ladder” match. Sr George v. Penn, partly played recently, was completed on Saturday, St. George winning a very even contest, as shown by the scores: 7—5, (s—B, 7—5.
