The erection of the Manakau Hotel will be in hand at the earliest opportunity, and when finished should be a welcome addition to tho district. Tho foundations are to be substantial, the outer walls will be of brick, plastered, and the ceilings lined with abestos sheeting and plaster. The building will be heated with hot water radiators and lighted by electricity, while a septic tank will be used for sewerage. There arc quite a number of fire escapes, tho balcony will be a handy one, the bedrooms will be of convenient size, well lighted and ventilated. The bathroom will be roomy, while other convenient rooms are* all well sot out. There arc two nice citting-roome, one 15ft x lift, the other 10ft x 9ft Cin, the dining-room is 20ft x 18ft, the commercial room 10ft x 12ft, office Oft * Oft, public bar 13ft Gin x 12ft, private bar lift x lift, spirit store 14ft x 7ft. Tho hall will lead to both bars, office, sitting-room, and to a passage that leads to the dining-room.
