Tho Department of Industries and Commerce has received flic following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand:—
Hemp.—Manila continues iD active demand, Tlic market is steady at previous quotations. Current prices for “J” grade. .Soptember-Noverober shipment and October-Deeember shipment. £6O 10s; January-March shipment and February-" April shipment, £Ol. Tlic New Zealund market is steady but ■quiet. Higli-points on spot sold at £53: fair, £-19 to £sl. Present quotations are: Spot, high-points, £36; fair, -£3l. Sellers of January-March shipments ask £53 and £4B respectively.
