WEDNESDAY COMPETITION. WIN FOR MANAKAU. The first of the Wednesday cricket matches eventuated on Wednesday last, when Munnkau met the Training Farm at Mans knit. Neither ciub was fully represented. Foliowing on, the Mhnakati men did much better, knocking up 89. Duncum and W. Be van scored splendidly in this innings. The Farm then batted again, and had made only eight for the loss of four wickets when time v.-as etiled. Thus lln no kau won on the first inning* by the narrow margin of five nun.
