The chief electoral officer announced yesterday as follows the result of the Taranaki recount:—-Continuance, 2780; State Control, 320; Prohibition, 4407. This completes the official recount of the votes registered in the different electorates, and, with only 50S votes to come, the totals now stand: ' Continuance 240,90 S State Control 32,1443 Prohibition 270.178 Continuance majority ... 2,90 S The SOS votes still to come arc those front-transport Kigouia (3.11), due si* Wellington next Tuesday, and the transport Ruapehu (197), due at Auckland oji January 29th.
