Oil Majority against Prohibition \,f>42 Tho number of votes covered by these figures is 530,1ti0. Tito votes required to constitute un absolute: majority of this total would be 265,231. The Prohibition total falls short of this number by 022 votes. The number of votes *UU to be iu- ■ dueled, comprising absentee votes, seamen's votes, and soldiers' votes, is believed to be in (ho neighbourhood of 12,00','.
