Snub (9st) has been allotted topweight in the Mauawatu Cup (1000 sovs), with Client 8.13 and Uncle Ned 8.12 next in order. Mr W. H- Bowden has disposed of his filly Machrce (Bezonian— Lady Helen) to ]*t M.’Boyle, Tho transaction was completed at the Feilding meeting, but not before Mr Bowden had refused many tempting offers. The Otaki sportsman has now disposed of all his horsess, and for a time will have a well-deserved rest. Among the successful horsemen at the Feilding meeting was W. Bowden, jun., who rode a winner that paid a handsome dividend. Moutoa Ivanova, locally trained, wen •the Manchester Handicap at Feilding, paying a good dividend. Hushabye, who won the Bongotea Hack Hurdles, also paid a substantial figure. Gang Awn’, trained at Levin, won the Cheltenham Hurdles, Swcnee River won the Niknu Hack, Acre the Qroqa Stakes. Valley Rose tho Novice Stakes, and -Arrowfield the Empire Welter.
