WEDDING.

PHARAZYN—FIELD. Tlie wedding took place in f?t. Paul'* Pro-Cathedral on Wednesday of Miss Lydia Field, second daughter of Mr W. H. Field, M.P. for Otaki, and Mrs Field,"The Terrace, to Captain William Noel Pharazyn, Royal Field Artillery, son of Mrs Gerald Fitzgerald, Tinakori Road, and of the late Mr C. Pharazyn. Tho ceremony was performed by the Veu. Archdeacon Johnson. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of ivory georgette over palest pink silk, the corsage finished with a high swathed belt of pearls. A panel of very beautiful old Limerick lace draped one side of tho frock, and was carried round the hem of the skirt, and the veil of Brussels lace, over two hundred years of age, was caught to the head with sprays of orange blossom. A beautifully arranged bouquet of white flowers to which a touch of colour was added by pink carnations, covered with tulle, was carried. Mr Geoffrey Field, brother of the bride, attended tlie bridegroom, who was in the uniform of his regiment. Mrs Field wore a frock of hydrangea coloured cvepo-de-ehene, with touches of powder blue and and a wide black hat. in which the same shade of blue was repeated. She earriod a bouquet of pink and red roses also veiled with tulle. Both her own bouquet and that of the bride bad been arranged by herself. Miss Field wore a coat and skirt of deep blue silk poplin with a black picture hat. Mrs Gerald Fitzgerald was in dull periwinkle blue, with rovers collar and cuffs of stone grey and a black picture hat. Miss Pharazyn was in a l'rook of hydrangea-coloured georgette and a leghorn lint wreathed with flowers. Mrs Elgar wore a very elegant gown of rich amber-coloured silk heavily patterned on tho corsage and skirt with embroideries iu beads and wool. With this she wore a close-fitting swathed cloak iu the same tone of amber made with a Napoleon collar edged with sable, and a swathed toque also in

shades of amber; some beautiful jewellery was worn as well. Miss Pharazyn (Nelson) was in a lomon-coloured frock with a blue hat wreathed with pink roses. A reception was afterwards held at the home of sft and Mrs \Y. H. Field. The decorations of the whole house were "carried out with roses, and were altogether charming. The health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by .Sir Robert Stout, ami Mr von Haast proposed that of the bride's parents. The tea table in the diningroom had been arranged with roses, and the big square wedding cake was cut by the bride with her husband’s sword. Mrs Pharazyn's goingawny dress was of mushroom coloured gaberdine worn with a motoring hat of the same shade, trimmed with lnustariieolourcd ribbon. —‘ ‘ Dominion. ’ ’
