SOLDIERS’ SHOP DAY.
_ The soldiers’ shop day, to be held at the Otaki Theatre to-morrow, is arousing a deal of interest, and it only remains for the general public to attend To make the.affair an unqualified success. The various stall-holders have been busy for some time, and have on hand a number of useful and valuable articles for sale, which will be offered at tempting prices. At the “Beehive” stall a number of dainty frocks, boys’ and men’s pyjamas, cakes, produce, etc., will be offered, the “Dug-out” will be-specially attractive for children. the “Tricolour” stall will dispense sweets, the “ Wheel of Forttme"’ win be worth trying- while the “Secrecy Bureau” win reveal valuable information. Besides the above cream, cheese, pressed meats, etc., will be on sale, while'during the day light refreshments will be provided, Among the pleasing attractions will be’ h fish pond, which will be fqll Of prizes, while there will be a novelty in the shape of a pretty tulip bed, where all should try their luck.
" There will be an abundance of cream, and those desirous of purchasing should remembei* to take their own jugs. The shop will open at 3.30 a.ih. and continue open till about & P*n~
