BOWLING.

The residents of the old-established town of Bulls will shortly be able to indulge in tho popular pastime of bowls. A meeting was held and a club formed, aud it was decided to lay down a green at an early date. The club very wisely selected Mr G. Saywoll, of Fcilding, to superintend the construction of the green. Mr Savwcll is one of the best authorities in tho North Island for work of this description, and it is safe to sav that under his superintendence Bulls will have a bowling green which will be equal to any on this coast. There are several bowling enthusiasts in the Bulls district, and they are to be congratulated upon their decision to provide a green. A general meeting of members of the Otaki Bowling Club will bo held in the Druids’ Hall on Thursday evening next at S o’clock.
