Mr and Sirs Marco Foselta, who have been residents of Levin for over twenty years, have left to take up residence at Tahiti. Prior to leaving for their new home they were entertained and presented with a handsome cheque.

Owing to the illness of Dr. Huthwaite, who is still in a very indifferent state of health, Dr. Sharp, of Wellington, is at present acting as locum tenons, Dr. Symonds, who was relieving, having returned to the city.

A wedding of interest was solemnised at Foxton on Wednesday, when Mr B. Withers was married to Miss Boss, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Ross. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion. Miss Stone (Wellington) was bridesmaid. The bride was dressed in white crepc-de-ehene and georgette, embroidered with faint touches of pink.

The funeral of the late Mr J. A. Field took place at Paraparaumu on Saturday, .when the'eortege was a large and representative one, being attended by settlers' from various parts of the district. The ceremony at the graveside was conducted in an impressive manner by the Rev. G. V. Kendrick, while several beautiful floral tokens were placed on the coffin. Among the chiel mourners was. Mr W. H. Field, M.P.. brother of the deceased.
