A match for the Masonic Cup, pro•ented by Mr W. lb Simcox, was played on the local green on Wednesday last. between the bolder* /a local team of Masons, eornprihing- 8t : George, I Iter. Petrie, J. B. Bills/and Satherley) and a visiting team MeArdle.. young, Hevell and Bamsay. The local team .started off by scoring a five, and won the match very easily by -33 to 12. The game, however, was a most enjoyable one. m A number of other visiting member? of the Craft indulged.;/in • "scratch" games, all of which wefe._mueh enjoyed.
Though the weather was cold ar.<i windy, the visitors expressed themselves well pleased with the sport. The Oiaki ladies provided afternoon tea, which wan much appreciated;
