Mrs IV Horlon,'Bright is among the visitors *to Otaki' to-day. Owing to the indisposition of Mr ,T. Logan Stout, S.M., business at the 'Otaki.Court was to-day conducted by J's.F. The manyifrhpnds of Dr. Huthwaite will regret that his health has nccesituted his taking a rest. In the meantime Dr. Simmons will act as locum tcnens. George, the eldest. .t on of Mr and Mrs 0. 11. Colonel Robert Ward Tate has been offered and has accepted thci>osition of Civil Administrator at Samoa. Prior to the war Colonel Tate was a solicitor practising at Greytown and Carterton. Mr A. L. Moore, of the local firm of Messrs Bills and Moore, is laid aside with illness, and will be compelled to rest for a week or two. It is hoped that he will speedily be fully restored to health. Mr .1. T. Bartholomew, who recently joined Mr D. S. Mackenzie's dental staff at Levin, is one. of eight officers end non-commissioned officers who were honoured for meritorious professional services with the Expeditionary Forces. j Mr George William Gardner, of Oio. I near Taumcrunui, was on Wednesday married to Miss Linda May. ydde. f daughter of Mr and Mrs S. A. Broadbelt, Ihakara, the ceremony being performed by Rev. J. H. Hiudam at" the LeviH Methodist Church. The Misses Bioadbcit (2) were bridesmaids, Mr Gardner .(brother-of the bridegroom) wast best man, and Mr .X. Ironsides, of ■ t Wellington, groomsman.
