CLEARING SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:— We held a clearing sale of dairy stock on account of Mr H. Sanies at the farm, Ilautcro Cross. There was a large attendance of buyers present and keen competition throughout, and the herd of 30 made an average, of over £l9 tier head. Quotations: Best cow# £2O to £3O 10s. medium do. £l4 to £IS 10s, several three-quartered and low conditioned do £0 Ills to £l3 os, yearling Jersey bull £0 10s, forward condition empty cows £0 2s lid to £lO 10s, aged spring-cart gelding £22 10s, store lugs £2 Is to £2 os. Wo also offered on account of Mr W. * W. Westawav a very choice lot of wellbred Jersey cows in milk, which made an average of £39 per head. This we believe to be a record for the district. We quote: £3o, £-37, £39, £4l, £43, £lf 10s, £4G, autumn calver £2O 10s, pedigree Jersey bull 21gus, heifor and calf £23, yearling Jersey heifers £7 10s to £l3. '
