FOOTBALL.
The meeting of Hui Mai and Otaki at Otaki on Saturday resulted iu a very evcntly-contested game, which was much enjoyed by players and spectators. The score was three all—tries by W. Bowden and Ei Jones —when time was up, and play' had to be continued for many minutes before the ball was out of play. Then Hui Mai secured another try (Roha) and won the match, amidst great excitement. Mr T. Parata was referee.
In the League match at Wellington on Saturday the Australians defeated Wellington by D 3 points to 5. In tho Ranfnrly (Rugby) match Wellington defeated Wanganui, 30-3.
