BOWLING.

It has been decided that the official opening of-the Otaki Bowling Club s green will take place on Saturday next, When it is hoped members and friends will be in attendance. The green is m good order, and given a fine day a large number of bowlers should participate.

The Foxton green, which is to be officially opened on the 15th inst., is looking well, and should bo in real good order fo-r opening day. The Otaki Club Ims signified its intention of being represented at the Foxton opening-by two or three rinks.

The following are the opening days of the various clubs in the district: October 11th, Feilding; 15th, Foxton and Terrace* End; .18th, Palmerston North: 22nd, Shannon; 27tli, Levin. Bulls is to have a bowling green, tlie land having already been donated for that purpose, and a committee is making preparations for tho construction of a green.
