HIGH PRICES AT LEVIN. At Levin on Thursday Abraham and Williams. Ltd.. offered by public auc- j tion on behalf of Mr Lindsay Me- I Donald part of Ms "Kawiu" estate., comprising eight sections totalling about 347 acres. There was a large attendance of buyers and for every section, except number 1, of eight acres, the bidding was particularly spirited. Mr Eitchie Abraham wielded the hammer, and the following prices were realised:— Lot 2.—45* acres, £79 per acre, to J. K. McDonald. Lot 3.—53 j acres, £SS os per acre, to W H. Kolston. J X o t 4. — Ui acres, £<B 5s per acre, to J. Collis. I Lot 5.—10 acres, SSI 10s per acre, ; to J. Gardiner. . Lot 6.—40 i acres. £SS.IOs per acre, ' to J. Leydon. 1 - Lot 7.—SSI acres, £SS per acre, to j K. D. Rolston ! Lot 5.—35 acres, £75 per acre, to -\ ~D. Spencer., I AH the buyers were residents of I Levin, and the whole property averaged £SI 18s per acre for the land alone, as j there were no buildings. , s== !
