i ——.—fThe Otaki Maori Bacing Club's meeting, which opens to-morrow, should provide plenty of sport. The fields are not large, but, nevertheless, keen contests should result. The course is in the best of order, the appointments are . complete, and given fine weather the club should reap the success it deserves. | A large number of horses have ari rived, and aTe in final preparation for > the meeting. Owing to the railway rej strictions many horses have had to pad | the distance to Otaki, but some have j arrived by motor lorry. One of the big 1 lorries was especially fitted up, with two compartments, comfortably padded I and convenient. They were in charge | of Mr T. Lloyd, late of Otaki.
