WAIHOANGA

(Prom Our Own Correspondent). Another of those, delightful evenings for whi«h the Gorge folk are becoming justly celebrated took place on Wednesday {■veiling. The schoolroom was packed, many visitors being present from Otaki and To Horo. Euchre was as usual the star item, and the lucky ones on Ihis occasion were: —First lady, Mrs H. Roval-Judd; lady's booby. Miss M. Stanclisb: lirst ■gentleman, Mr .rack Skelly; gentleman "s booby, Mr Penton. This was Mr Skelly ; s first appearance here, and he was freely congratulated on arriving without a puncture. During the evening some high-class singing delighted the audience, Messrs G. Day, Sam Norish, and A. Allen being in capital voice. The accompaniments were ably played by Miss Grace Prouse. Dancing followed a sumptuous supper, and Mr G. Day once again produced such excellent music , that one must perforce dance. Extras were played by Miss A. Muir and Air , A. Butt.
