R.S.A. PICTURES AND DANCE. Ah appeal is being made to the local public on Friday night next for support for tho rccently-formeu Otaki branch of thq Returned Soldiers’ Association. Mr Hone McMillan has very kindly provided gratis a .first-class picture programme for that evening, to be I followed by a dance. Tho star picture provided is a military subject, entitled “The Firefly of France,” a Paramount masterpiece, featuring Wallace Reid, and depicting some of the wonders and thrills of aerial warfare in France, into which is woven a beautiful love story. In addition to this fine picture a good comedy will be shown. For the dance to follow the management guarantees a tip-top floor and good music, so that all -who attend may safely look forward to a most pleasant evening. The returned soldiers need funds to kelp them in their organisation work, and we feel sure the public will cordially respond to this appeal for assistance. MAORILAND PICTURES. For tomorrow night a capital Triangle feature, “Tho Missing Bank Notes,” will be presented, starring the favourites Norma Talmadge and Robert Harron. The chief features of this sensational picture arc a runaway wedding, a run on the bank, and a murder mystery. It should certainly prove a good draw. NATIVE ENTERTAINMENT. A iinal reminder is given of . the Native entertainment to bo given at Otaki to-night. Tho Natives always; put on a good programme, and judging by the advertised list of items, to-night’s function should be an enjoyable one. As the proceeds will bo divided between two worthy local objects—the Otaki Library and tho - Otaki Football Club — the imblie should accord the entertainment their hearty support. The concert will be followed by a dunce.
