W. Ayre, now with Mr 11. E. Barlow (New Plymouth) has stated his intention of giving up hurdle-racing, intending to confine himself to riding in flat events only, he being assured of enough mounts to keep him going for the season. “Billy]' shortly leaves on a tour of the Auckland district, and will visit several meetings with members of Mr Barlow’s string.
