The death of Mr Robert Will Thorn- 1 sou. of "Glcnwood," Te Horo, occurred I after a short illness at Kurse Linton's | private hospital, Palmerston North. The deceased gentleman was born in Lrrol. Perthshire, fit* years ago. and came to Xow Zealand in when he farmed successfully on the West Coast. He came to Te Horo IS months ago. Deceased was of a retiring disposition, with many friends, all of whom will; hear of his death with regret. A widow, ■ two daughters .and a sou are left, the | latter, Gordon, residing at Beach Road,-4 Te Horo. The interment takes place | this afternoon in Palmerston Xorth I (■•■metcry. » |
Flight-Lieutenant Wildsmith" (M.M.), ii old Otaki Convent boy who reecutly eturned from the front, paid a visit to he Convent yesterday afternoon, when o gave a long and interesting account f what an R.A.F. man has to go hrough from beginning fo end. Early n the afternoon he exhibited wine fine 'holographs of Vpres and other ruined owns of Franc, which were v»ry incresting to see. Later he described he different classes of aeroplanes, howing the respective diagrams. When te concluded Master George Cotiereli, >n behalf of the pupils, thanked him or his interesting and instructive rpecch he had so kindly given, and then :alled for three hearty cheers, which .',ere heartily given.
