The death occurred in the Wanganui Hospital recently of Mr Bently Russell, who was for many-years a prominent figure in amateur dramatic and social circles in Wellington. He was at one time a resident of Otaki. living hero »for health reasons.

Sergeant Roy Satherley. son of Constable and Mrs Satherley, of Otaki. who left with the 22mi Reinforcements, and who has therefore been on active sorviee for the past 2* years, and Private Percy Bevan. son of Mr and Mrs Geo. Bevan, who has also seen a deal of active service, refused by the special troop train which arrived at Otaki shortly before noon yesterday. Both are looking tit and well, and were met by quite a number of relatives and friends, all of whom gave them » most cordial reception. Private Laurie Bevan is expected to arrive in the course of a. week or two.
