WEDDING.
LORIGAN—STONE. A wedding that created considerable local interest, especially in sporting circles, was celebrated at All Saints' Church, Palmerston North, on Wednesday by the Rev. If. G. Blackburnc, when Mr Horton B. Lorigan, the popular cross-country rider, son of Mr and Mrs J. P. Lorigan. of Hastings, was married to Miss Ada Gertrude (Peggy) Stone, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Jesse Stone, of Bourke street, Palmerston North. The ffride, who was given away by her father, wore a bridal dress of white crepe-de-chene trimmed with Brussels lace and touches of shell pink, the train of white satin being lined with pink Georgette. She also wore a beautiful veil, the gift of a friend, and carried a shower bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss Vera Morrow, who wore pale blue crepe-de-chene and a black picture hat. Miss Avis Edwards, -whose dress was of mauve crepe dc chene, with a black hat, and the Misses Muriel Lorigan and Kathleen Dudley, who wore frocks of pink crepe de chene and pretty black hats, The bridegroom's present to the bride was a diamond pendant, to the'elder bridesmaids gold brooches of a unique design, and to the younger ones gold bracelets. The bride's present to the j bridegroom was a travelling bag. The I bridegroom was attended by Messrs W. ) Bell and Roy Reed, two well-known . light-weight jockeys. A special feature j of the table decorations at the after- j noon tea were festoons of blue and I black, Mr Fred. Fasten ?s colours, in j which the bridegroom has been fairly , successful on recent dates. The bride- { groom at one time resided at Otaki. j where he has, many friends and rela- ' tives. . I
