SOMETHING IN THE WIND. London, August 9. The "Daily Express' " naval correspondent states that negotiations are in progress between the Admiralty and New Zealand for the formation of a squadron on the New Zealand station. It. is understood that New Zealand is willing to make an annual payment for up-to-date vessels. The larger issues of New Zealand's naval policy must await Lord Jellicoe 's report. NOTHING DONE YET. Wellington, August 12. Sir James Allen said that he had no knowledge of the subject matter of the cable referring to the formation of a squadron for the New Zealand station. Nothing had yet been done in NewZealand about it. and nothing would be done until Lord .Tellicoe had reported.
