COUNTY ELECTIONS.

TE HORO BIDING. Three nominations have been received for the Tc Horo Hiding vacancy, caused by the retirement of Mr G. P. Catley, who has removed from To Horo, viz., Messrs Thos. Henry Windley, Evelyn Macdonald, and F. Coley. Mr Coley's nominators are Messrs H. L. Beauchamp and H. E. Judd. The election takes place on Tuesday

j next, as advertised. ! Mr F. Coley, one of the candidates 1 for the To ''Horo Biding, by-election, has an announcement in our advertising columns to which we invito attention. Mr Coley, though a comparative newcomer to this district, is a thoroughly practical man, who has had wide experience of road work, and has served on local bodies elsewhere. Mr Coley is a resident of Waihoanga, and, if elected, promises to give special consideration to the Waihoanga district and To Horo Biding. Doubtless Mr Coley will receive considerable support. Mr Windley is one of the oldest residents of To Horo, who has already a lengthy service on the County Council t» his credit.

Mr Evelyn Macdonald is also a wellknown Tc Horo resident, who has been

prominent in various local projects, more especially the Co-op. Dairy Co.' and the Farmers' Union, of which ho is the present president (Te Horo branch).

WIROKINO RIDING. There being only one nomination received for the vacancy caused by (lie resignation of Mr E. Law, as Toko- • mam representative, that of Mr Harold Barber, that gentleman has been declared elected.
